What Is Irlen?

Irlen Syndrome is a perceptual processing disorder that affects your brain’s ability to process visual information. Irlen is frequently misdiagnosed as an optical condition, yet this is not why it occurs. Instead, it’s a problem in the visual pathway that carries information from the brain to the eye. Individuals having Irlen Syndrome may experience minimal, moderate, or severe levels of difficulty.  Individuals with Irlen may encounter one or more distortions while looking at text. Thankfully, people with Irlen can get rid of their symptoms. It all starts with a screening.
